DNR License
We have Hunting, Fishing, and Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) Licenses available for purchase.
FISHING
To engage in fishing, individuals aged 17 and above must obtain a fishing license. Those under 17 are exempt from this requirement but must adhere to all fishing regulations. Any adult actively aiding a minor without a license in fishing activities must possess a fishing license.
Michigan's annual fishing license is valid from March 1 of a given year through March 31 of the following year.
HUNTING
To hunt in Michigan a Base License is required. The base license grants permission to hunt small game. Separate licenses are necessary for hunting other species such as deer or turkey.
Michigan's base hunting license is valid until March 31 of the following year from the date of purchase.
ORV
An ORV license is necessary for riding on eligible county roads, the frozen surface of public waters, state forest roads, and certain national forest roads. Additionally, an ORV trail permit is mandatory in addition to the ORV license for operation on state-designated ORV trails and scramble areas.
Each license remains valid for one year, commencing on April 1st and concluding on March 31st of the subsequent year.
